Job Title Clinical Research Associate Coordinator

We are seeking a Clinical Research Associate Coordinator to contribute to clinical research studies, with a primary focus on maternal-infant research. Clinical research conducted by our laboratory includes observational studies, which collect information to better understand how to prevent, detect, and address disease; and clinical trials, which test new interventions to promote health and/or address disease. The Clinical Research Associate Coordinator will contribute through individual efforts and by participating on functional and project teams. The Clinical Research Associate Coordinator will apply their skills to collect and store data, collect and process biological specimens, and collaborate with the research team.
Additional Information Responsibilities: The Clinical Research Associate Coordinator will: (1) assist with the planning, launch, maintenance, and close out of clinical research studies; (2) recruit, enroll, and randomize research participants for active clinical research studies; (3) conduct study visits and collect data from research participants, including through the administration of questionnaires, completion of interviews, completion of data collection forms, and measurement of objective indices of health such as height, weight, temperature, and skinfold thickness; (4) collect, label, transport, process, and assay biological specimens as needed; (5) enter, clean, and organize data using tools such as Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap); (6) monitor, organize, maintain, and order supplies for various laboratory needs; and (7) monitor and contribute to regulatory compliance, such as with the Institutional Review Board and National Institutes of Health.
Minimum Education required, degree level and focus area: Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences or other medical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Minimum Years of Experience required: 0 years of relevant experience required. 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Desired Qualifications: Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication skills; previous clinical and/or community research experience preferred but not required.
