About this position

The Communications Division (DCC) of the Knowledge, Innovation and Communications Sector (KIC) uses digital intelligence, data, and creativity to help position the IDB Group as the preferred partner for development in the region. DCC works with press, Web, email, social media, and paid media channels to help give visibility to stories of impact in the region.

The Communications Division (DCC) is looking for a Senior Graphic Designer to support the communications team in the development of creative concepts and the production of communication materials.

The team’s mission: The IDB's Communications Division at KIC builds and protects the reputation of the IDB Group. From this perspective, the communication effort is focused on:

  • Strengthen the IDB as a partner of choice highlighting its attributes of closeness and responsibility to the region. We are the partner per excellence.
  • Show the IDB as a real honest information broker, which provides an accurate curator of information between the noise, uncertainty, and speed of the moment.

    What you’ll do

    • In collaboration with the sector or country communicator, define campaigns’ concepts and storytelling.
    • Build strategies that connect with audiences over the long-term, alongside promotional efforts.
    • Develop, design and produce key visuals.
    • Create highly engaging videos and related graphics for all marketing channels such as social media, paid media, email and Web (Blogs and Websites).
    • Work with paid media team (agency) to ensure that campaigns deliver high business impact.
    • Manage task traffic for junior designers.
    • Support brand guidelines implementation.
    • Produce infographics.
    • Produce documents’ layout.

      What you'll need

      • Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or similar field. Adobe Creative Cloud certification.
      • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in digital graphic design, video for social media, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
      • Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish.

            Requirements

            • Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
            • Consanguinity : You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

              Type of contract and duration

              • Type of contract: International Consultant Full-Time.
              • Length of contract: 11.5 months.
              • Work Location: On site.
