Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement metadata management strategies and best practices using Azure Purview, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other relevant tools.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and management of metadata from various sources within the Azure ecosystem and beyond.
- Ensure metadata standards are maintained and adhered to across the organization using Azure Purview and other tools.
- Collaborate with data architects, modelers, and IT teams to ensure effective data storage and usage within Azure Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other platforms.
- Conduct data profiling to identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies using Azure Purview and additional metadata management tools.
- Create and maintain data dictionaries and other metadata documentation within Unity Catalog and other metadata repositories.
- Assist in data governance and data quality initiatives using Azure Purview and complementary tools.
- Monitor and resolve metadata-related issues within the Azure environment and across other systems.
- Provide training and support to staff on metadata management topics using Azure Purview, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and other metadata management software
