Our client, an international law firm, is seeking an eDiscovery Analyst to join their team in a hybrid capacity in their New York office. The eDiscovery Analyst will work closely with the eDiscovery Manager to support the full eDiscovery and legal support life cycle, including conducting searches, collaborating with vendors, and ensuring data integrity. Responsibilities include consulting with case teams, utilizing eDiscovery software like Relativity, managing data loading and delivery, overseeing vendor relationships, and providing technical solutions to case team issues. The ideal candidate will have some eDiscovery or litigation support experience, strong communication skills, advanced knowledge of technical systems, and exceptional project management abilities. RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to): - Consults with case teams and senior legal technology team members to assess and support technology needs, and acts as junior project manager throughout all stages of the litigation process
- Utilize eDiscovery software, Relativity, to process and analyze large volumes of data, including deduplication, filtering, and keyword searching
- Owns data loading, formatting, coding, and delivery as directed by the eDiscovery Manager
- Assists with managing vendors, including assuring deliverables meet requested specifications and are delivered on schedule and budget
- Oversees data acquisition and delivery to vendors
- Collaborates with eDiscovery Manage to review details on a matter to provide case team with optimal technology solutions, such as the use of analytics; troubleshoots and recommends technical solutions to case team issues
- Performs Quality Control measures on all processes to ensure incoming and outgoing data files meet project-specific and industry standards
- Maintains chain of custody tracking spreadsheets for data received and loaded for each project
- Complies with department and firm administrative procedures and policies
- Other duties and projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPECTATIONS:- Bachelor’s degree required
- Some experience in eDiscovery or litigation support-related role (i.e. legal technology, data management, paralegal)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
- Superior project management skills
- Advanced knowledge of technical systems including but not limited to Relativity (required), iPro Eclipse or similar software, iManage, MS Office Suite and willingness to learn new technical systems
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfort independently and collaboratively working on multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Demonstrated a high degree of confidentiality and discretion
- Resourceful, creative, dependable, proactive, can-do attitude
Expected salary for this role is $75,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
