Job Description

The Charleston Battery is looking for passionately driven undergraduate or graduate students to join our Marketing team for the second half of the 2024 Season. This individual will be responsible for assisting our Video Content Producer in the filming, editing, and producing of both short and long-form video content for our social media platforms, advertisements and other club initiatives. This is a seasonal position has a preferred start date of August 12 and end date of November 30.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside our Video Content Manager
• Assist in video concept development (content creation, storyboarding, ideation, etc.)
• Assist in gameday videography
• Assist with social media content creation, specifically for TikTok and Instagram Reels + Stories
• Assist in the filming and production of long-form, documentary style video series
• Assist in management of YouTube channel
• Proactively seek creative and unique ways to drive affinity for the Battery
• Provide creative input with any project, initiative, or campaign

Qualifications:

• Experience producing both short-form and long-form video content
• Experience with social media platforms including Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
• Knowledge of basic marketing concepts
• Experience with Adobe Suite, specifically Adobe Premier Pro
• Comfortable operating a Sony Camera
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides, etc.)
• Passion for soccer / sports marketing
• Willingness to learn
• Creative thinker, Strong collaborator, and problem-solver

Requirements:

• Willingness and ability to work long hours, including late nights and weekends throughout the duration of the season
• Ability to arrange personal housing and transportation at own expense
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditions, including rain and heat
• Ability to interact professionally with Front Office staff, players, and coaches
• Must be available to work our home games and other assigned events as well as normal office hours
• Eligible to receive college credit
