Geotechnical or Water Resource Engineering

W. W. Wheeler and Associates, Inc. (Wheeler) is seeking to hire a Junior Geotechnical or Water Resource Engineer for our Englewood, Colorado office.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a related field with an emphasis in water resources, hydrology, hydraulics, engineering geology, or construction. A Master of Science is preferred.
• E.I. certification, or the ability to obtain an E.I. certification within one year.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience in AutoCAD/Civil3D, ArcGIS, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W is desirable, but not required.
• Construction experience, but not required.
• Strong communication and writing skills.

Job Description
A Junior Engineer will work under the direction of more experienced engineers, and duties can include engineering analysis, design, data input and review, field work, report writing, drawing and specification preparation, construction quantity and cost estimation, construction observation or other duties as required to support and complete Wheeler’s work.

Our smaller size allows our engineers the opportunity to gain experience on a variety of water resources and geotechnical engineering projects with many different clients. Most of our work is within Colorado, but we also work on dam safety projects nationwide.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
