PTW is a premier AAA gaming services company is ready to hire for our new studio in North Charleston, South Carolina, we are hiring 50-100 video testers at all levels. We specialize in providing comprehensive quality assurance, playtesting, and localization services to top-tier video game developers and publishers worldwide. Job Description: PTW is seeking an experienced and driven Lead Video Game Tester to join our team and lead a rapidly growing workforce of video game testers. As the Lead Video Game Tester, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our clients' video game titles across various platforms. This is an in-studio position, and only local candidates in North Charleston, SC, or willing to relocate within the U.S. will be considered. No visa sponsorship will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and oversee a team of video game testers at all levels, providing guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure high-quality testing results.
  2. Collaborate closely with project managers, leads, and stakeholders to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and testing strategies tailored to the client's requirements and objectives.
  3. Conduct thorough testing of video game titles across multiple platforms, including PC, console, and mobile devices, to identify and report defects, glitches, and other issues.
  4. Coordinate and prioritize testing activities to meet project deadlines and milestones, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality testing results.
  5. Maintain clear and detailed documentation of testing processes, procedures, and results, including test plans, test matrices, and bug reports.
  6. Communicate effectively with project stakeholders to provide regular updates on testing progress, identify risks and issues, and propose solutions and recommendations.
  7. Assist in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of new video game testers as the workforce scales from 50 to 100 employees.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in video game quality assurance, and share knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  1. High School Diploma/GED or some college education.
  2. 8+ years of experience in video game quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA principles, methodologies, and processes.
  3. Proven experience testing video game titles across multiple platforms, including PC, console, and mobile devices.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively mentor and manage a team of testers.
  5. Proficiency in using industry-standard testing tools and software, such as bug tracking systems, test management tools, and version control systems.
  6. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and prioritize testing activities based on project requirements and objectives.
  7. Willingness to work in an in-studio environment in North Charleston, South Carolina, and relocate if necessary. Remote work will not be considered.
  8. Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of gaming mechanics, genres, and platforms.
