What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Knowledge of Windows-based software, to include Microsoft Word and Excel
  • In-depth knowledge of Aflac WWHQ and Aflac Group Insurance organizational, management, and functional structure
  • Demonstrated experience using and an understanding of human resources laws, regulations, policies and procedures, quality management tools, concepts/methodology, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of Aflac Individual and Group Insurances products and procedures, and company terminology
  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and negotiate with internal/external customers and senior management, and ability to maintain professionalism in accordance with corporate standards.

 

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Administrative, Human Resources, or a related field
  • 4 to six years of job-related work experience
  • 4 years in a supervisory/ leadership, capacity

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

 

Education & Experience Preferred

  • Experience in sales operations or administration in the insurance industry.

  • Less than or equal to 10%

 

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages daily Broker operations and administrative functional support such as training, administrative processing support, travel and expenses, high profile event needs, and sales professionals communications.
  • Establishes processes that facilitate activities that support sales activities, such as enrollment support processes and case development, including product proposal requests, ordering and delivering brochures and marketing materials, arranging travel, meetings, and appointments; identifies and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensures that organizational policies and procedures are communicated and practiced; develops appropriate measures or standards for performance and uses these to monitor, evaluate, and continually improve services and employees’ performance. Understands the CRM system, production reports and operational processes to ensure stellar support processes are utilized to support the sales teams.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of strategies relating to sales operations as well as long term strategic planning; leads and/or participates on projects and services necessary to support and improve existing processes and services; maintains adequate control of resources to ensure that ongoing operations of the department remain within established budget, productivity, and efficiency standards.
  • Motivates, coaches, and develops support team; provides consistent and constructive feedback to employees through performance evaluations and other means of communication in partnership with the sales team members being supported; trains and develops employees, or identifies employees’ training and resource needs; maintains employee personnel records.
  • Collaborates with other departments to streamline workflows and improve service delivery.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape.

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $193,000.

On an annual basis, you’ll also be offered 11 paid holidays, up to 20 days PTO to be used for any reason, and, if eligible, state mandated sick leave (Washington employees accrue 1 hour sick leave for every 40 hours worked) and other leaves of absence, if eligible, when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
