Job Description

Job Summary: We have a gentleman who lives in Loudon. He lives with his wife and small dog. He is looking for coverage Monday - Friday. They are flexible on the start time, but would prefer to have someone there for dinner time (7pm). His wife has Parkinson's and recently had a stroke. She is unable to care for him on her own. They would love some help. Wife states they would prefer 9-7 or 10-7. They would be open to 10 hour shifts as well as 8 1/2 hour shifts with the possibility of a weekend day. Personal Care Aid/Personal Care Support Provider (PCA/PCSP) act as a bridge to independent living for many seniors as well as those with disabilities who may also require assistance with activities of daily living. From monitoring a client’s vital signs and physical or mental condition, to assisting with grooming, hygiene, and chores around the house, Home Health Aides allow clients to maintain the familiarity — and dignity — of living at home. Personal Care Aid/Personal Care Support Provider (PCA/PCSP) Compensation and Benefits:

Personal Care Aid/Personal Care Support Provider (PCA/PCSP) Responsibilities:
  • Help clients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing and other daily tasks
  • Perform basic health care services for clients including checking vital signs or administering prescription medication
  • Help with general light housekeeping, including cooking meals
  • Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family members
  • Observe and report on each client’s condition
  • Stay up-to-date with home health aide training, policies and procedures
Personal Care Aid/Personal Care Support Provider (PCA/PCSP) Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a caregiver preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Current CPR (American Heart Association) Certification preferred
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and provide references
  • Ability to think and work both independently and with direction
  • Must have exceptional personal hygiene
  • Must be respectful and compassionate with a good bedside manner
  • Knowledge of basic housekeeping
