PROMOTIONS & DIGITAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

 

Reports to: Director of Marketing and Growth

Position Summary:
The Promotions and Digital Media Coordinator at WURD Radio is responsible for coordinating and implementing on-site events and remote broadcasts, assisting with partner and sponsor program deliverables, and supporting digital engagement for programming, sales, and membership initiatives. This role requires working evening and weekend events and collaborating closely with the Director of Marketing & Growth and the WURD team to promote events and station activities. The ideal candidate is an organized and proactive individual with experience in managing digital marketing and promotions for a media company. They possess strong project management and communication skills, an analytic mindset, and basic knowledge of various software platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with the WURD team to coordinate and implement WURD Radio station on-site events and live broadcasts, including assisting with the execution of partner and sponsor program deliverables. On-site event coordination and management will require working evening and weekend events.
• Assist in the implementation and follow-up of graphic designs for print and digital projects relating to WURD events.
• Communicate necessary event information to all relevant internal and external WURD stakeholders (various departments like Programming, Product/Digital, etc., and guest speakers, panelists, partners, sponsors, press releases, etc.).
• Work with the Director of Marketing & Growth to implement additional elements necessary to promote events and station activities.
• Manage all radio station analytics—including website, social media, newsletters, and app metrics—generating regular and ad-hoc reports, and deriving insights to guide strategic decisions.
• Work with the Director of Marketing & Growth and Sales team to activate on-air ticket giveaways and promotions as needed.
• Assist in the posting and optimization of content on WURD websites (wurdradio.com, ecowurd.com, wurdworks.com) including posting events, graphics, ads, etc.
• Provide coverage for the Director of Marketing & Growth in case of emergency and vacation.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, on-site event participation.

Qualifications:

• At least 1-2 years of experience managing digital marketing and/or promotions for a media company.
• Strong organizational skills and analytic mindset.
• Experience in data reporting and dashboards like Google Analytics.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of software platforms like WordPress, including those for email marketing, content management, social media management, and customer relationship management.
• Prior media experience is highly favored.

Physical Demands:

• Role requires performing tasks that require sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to manipulate standard office equipment, keyboard, and occasionally operate a motor vehicle.
• May be required to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.
• Occasionally exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
