The Opportunity:

West Liberty University is seeking applications for a 9-month, full time, Social Work Faculty in College of Liberal and Creative Arts. The position will have release time for the responsibilities as the Field Education Coordinator for the Social Work Program (BSW). This position reports to the Social Work Program Chair.

Essential Functions of the position:

The successful candidate must be willing and able to teach courses within the BSW program. Candidates should have a commitment to excellent teaching, professional development, and service, including participation in student advising, recruitment and retention activities.

The Field Education Coordinator responsibilities include the educational and administrative direction of field education in compliance with CSWE accreditation standards, including coordinating internships, cultivating new field sites, and developing field assessment practices.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• A terminal degree in Social Work, or a closely related field is preferred
• A MSW from a CSWE accredited Social Work Program and a minimum of two years of Social Work practice is required.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Authorized to work in the United States

Salary and rank will be commensurate with education and experience. Anticipated start date is August 2024.
