Description of Work:

The Transfer Coordinator for recruitment will be responsible for coordinating new undergraduate recruitment initiatives for transfer student populations. This position will represent UNL at community colleges college fairs, community college visits, and other external events where prospective transfer students may be reached and cultivated (e.g., military-related events). This position will build strong relationships with key contacts at 2-year institutions within Nebraska and have an awareness of such relationships being cultivated by regional recruiters. The coordinator will be responsible for working in collaboration across the Office of Admissions structure to plan, coordinate, and execute on and off-campus events that yield UNL admissible transfer prospects who apply, are admitted, and consequently yield as to increase new transfer student enrollment. Responsible for interpreting and conveying admission, transfer student pathways, scholarship and financial aid, student life support and services, and university policy to community college partners and prospective students who attend those institutions. This position is located on the UNL campus but extensive travel is required. This position requires many nights and weekends during peak times.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree plus one year in sales, marketing, higher education, or related field. Must have; excellent communication, organizational skills, public speaking experience, ability to work independently, presentation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to relate to people of all age groups, academic abilities and cultures. Experience with Microsoft Office software. Ability to learn new technologies. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with transfer college students. Undergraduate admissions recruitment experience. Extensive involvement as an undergraduate at UNL .

Posted Salary: $45,000/yr. minimum
